Your first gut health newsletter...
As a first off I wholly acknowledge that we are at the end of Spring, but I have always felt somewhat moved to make bold moves during this season. Be it a move of home, career change or emigrate to a new country (I only recently realised that I appear to have done all of these around spring). We are leaving behind the final weeks of Spring in Malta, spurred by the recent dusty rainfall but safe in the comfort that a warm summer lays ahead of us as we know the sun lays behind the hazy clouds. The days are slowly beginning to heat up, my sandals are making an appearance my toes and calves are being dipped in the cool ocean waters.
I have been motivated by this season to start reaching out to you by way of a newsletter. Essentially, this is the birth of the Gloriously Good Guts newsletter! To give you a flavour it is my intention to share with you some thoughts, knowledge & advice in relation to gut health, some foodie bits and wholesome well-being aspects. If you haves signed up to the newsletter mailing list there will also be discounts and promotions to acknowledge your custom and to share the gloriously good feeling of great gut health.
I do hope that you enjoy my newsletter, there really is so much more to great gut health than ‘what goes in must come out’ and it is my intention to share this with you. Being inspired by my own life events, some of which may be relatable, some emotive and maybe even completely irrelevant. Hopefully they will provide some inspiring or even funny anecdotal stories. I do hope this will be a useful medium for you and provide a space for you to consider your own gut health and well-being. Please feel free to open dialogue with me - I am always happy to listen and to share. I appreciate all my clients and their own journeys, for there is not only knowledge or inspiration for me to part with but equally I have the honour of learning something through each and everyone of my clients.
So please do tuck in…
As we slowly day by day shed our winter skins, pack our warm coats back into our cupboard and start to pull out our shorts, sleeveless tops and reach for our breathable cotton wear. Let us set our intentions to get rid of the old. The old unhealthy habits which provided some level of unhealthy comfort, the poor food choices, the uncomfortable waste the environments which no longer serve us.
Here are a list of 3 things I am making a conscious decision to leave behind:
Heres my list of 3 things I am making a deliberate attempt to invite into my life:
What are you going to choose to get rid of?
What are you going to invite into your life?
What steps will you take on a daily basis to create the space for your new intention?
And in keeping with a clean body and mind I would like to invite you to consider how much more effectively your gut could function if it were to benefit from a spring clean. In the words of Norman Walker (1979) “The very best of diets can be no better than the very worst if the sewage system of the colon is clogged with a collection of waste and corruption.” Allow your body and mind the investment of a colonic hydrotherapy treatment to set yourself up for the summer.
So as an ode to the closing of spring; a seasonal reminder to re-set and de-clutter. Lets welcome summer with open arms, set new intentions, healthier habits and strive to feel better!
